Bevor du spielstBefore you play

Zum Spielen brauchst du ein Konto, und ein Konto gibt es nur mit einem Einladungs-Code. Den bekommst du von uns. Im Spiel wählst du „Neues Konto mit Einladung“ und gibst Name, Passwort und Code ein.

Dein Spielstand liegt auf dem Server, nicht auf deinem Rechner. Kommt eine neue Version, sagt dir das Spiel beim Anmelden „Neue Version verfügbar“. Dann lädst du sie hier neu herunter.

Das Spiel gibt es auf Deutsch und Englisch. Du wählst die Sprache beim Anmelden oben rechts oder später in den Einstellungen.

To play you need an account, and an account takes an invitation code. You get it from us. In the game, choose “New Account with Invitation” and enter a name, a password and the code.

Your progress is stored on the server, not on your computer. When a new version comes out, the game tells you “New Version Available” when you sign in. Then download it here again.

The game is in English and German. Choose the language at the top right of the sign-in, or later in the settings.

Windows: der erste StartWindows: First Launch

  1. Rechtsklick auf ARCHIPEL-0.3.1-windows.zip → „Alle extrahieren …“ → „Extrahieren“. Das dauert ein paar Minuten.
  2. Im entpackten Ordner ARCHIPEL doppelt auf ARCHIPEL.exe klicken.
  3. Windows meldet: Der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt. Klicke auf „Weitere Informationen“ und dann auf „Trotzdem ausführen“.
  1. Right-click ARCHIPEL-0.3.1-windows.zip → “Extract All …” → “Extract”. This takes a few minutes.
  2. In the extracted folder ARCHIPEL, double-click ARCHIPEL.exe.
  3. Windows says: Windows protected your PC. Click “More info” and then “Run anyway”.

Die Warnung kommt, weil das Spiel noch nicht signiert ist, und nur beim ersten Start einer Version. Für eine neue Version entpackst du einfach die neue Datei; den alten Ordner kannst du löschen.

The warning appears because the game is not signed yet, and only on the first launch of a version. For a new version, just extract the new file; you can delete the old folder.

Mac: der erste StartMac: First Launch

  1. Doppelklick auf ARCHIPEL-0.3.1-mac.zip entpackt ARCHIPEL.app, falls Safari das nicht schon getan hat. Zieh die App in den Ordner Programme.
  2. Öffne die App mit einem Doppelklick. macOS meldet, dass sie nicht geöffnet wurde, weil Apple sie nicht prüfen konnte. Klicke auf „Fertig“, nicht auf „In den Papierkorb legen“.
  3. Öffne Systemeinstellungen → Datenschutz & Sicherheit und scrolle nach unten zu „Sicherheit“. Dort steht, dass die App blockiert wurde. Klicke auf „Dennoch öffnen“ und bestätige mit deinem Passwort.
  4. Ab jetzt startet sie mit einem Doppelklick.
  1. Double-click ARCHIPEL-0.3.1-mac.zip to extract ARCHIPEL.app, unless Safari did so already. Drag the app into the Applications folder.
  2. Open the app with a double-click. macOS says it was not opened because Apple could not check it. Click “Done”, not “Move to Trash”.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to “Security”. It says the app was blocked. Click “Open Anyway” and confirm with your password.
  4. From now on it starts with a double-click.

„Dennoch öffnen“ steht dort etwa eine Stunde nach dem Startversuch; ist es weg, öffne die App einfach noch einmal. Auf macOS 14 und älter geht es auch so: Rechtsklick auf die App → „Öffnen“ → „Öffnen“.

“Open Anyway” is there for about an hour after the attempt; if it is gone, just open the app again. On macOS 14 and older this works too: right-click the app → “Open” → “Open”.

Oder über das Terminal

Meldet der Mac, die App sei „beschädigt“, oder willst du den Weg über die Einstellungen nicht gehen: Öffne Programme → Dienstprogramme → Terminal und gib ein:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/ARCHIPEL.app"

Das entfernt nur bei dieser App die Markierung „aus dem Internet geladen“. Danach startet sie mit einem Doppelklick.

Or through the Terminal

If the Mac says the app is “damaged”, or you would rather not go through the settings: open Applications → Utilities → Terminal and enter:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/ARCHIPEL.app"

This removes the “downloaded from the internet” mark from this app only. Then it starts with a double-click.
